Hey guys, some other news I figured I`d post.

With a "Be the Change" (BTC) group at a local high school, F.H. Collins, we`ve developed a "sister school" in Afghanistan, with whom we will be communicating with, sharing stories and resources with each other! -- That is one of the ongoing projects we`re working on, and is sure to generate some powerful ideas and inspirations from!! I`m excited!

This relationship, between me/TIG and the BTC group has reminded me the power in simple networks, like with school social groups!

Hey all, this is from an email I sent out, but figured I`d post it on here as well!!

This month (November) I was able to be a part of a Youth General Assembly for the Selkirk First Nation, in the community of Pelly. There I co-facilitated an anti-bullying workshop called "The Rhythm of Respect," with two BYTE staff, and two local dj/musicians. We were off the heezy. The youth were 96% First Nation, 4% Caucasion, and took in our drama`s, illustrations, and testimonies well! We used drama, hip-hop and breakdancing, and personal stories to share the power and energy that is created when people live together with respect, like what happens when people stay in rhythm!

Also this month, actually, late October, my friends at the Boys & Girls Club (staff and youth) stayed outside a Gov. building from 5am-5pm to raise attention about the increasing need for a Youth Shelter. This brouth radio play to the crisis of Youth not having a safe place to go to if their homes/living spaces are not safe. It also brought radio attention to TIG, and our two main partner org`s in the Yukon, BYTE & the Boys & Girlz Club.

And lastly, Jonno from BYTE, Bringing Youth Towards Equality, where I work out of, and I hosted some of the youth from the B&G Club for a Guide to Action workshop. Together, we made posters of what we hate, what we love, and how we can work towards seeing and living more of what we love in our community! It was night when I was reminded of the preciousness of youth. Many of these youth use the B&G Club as a result of having no place, nor no one, else to chill/chill with. So it was a powerful hour & 1/2 of ice cream, mocha`s and sharing. It was sweet!!!

Hugs and High Fives to All,

Kenny Lindsay

Howdy.
Our friends at Bringing Youth Towards Equality (BYTE) are putting on another edition of the Yukon Youth Conference, and are bringing pack the active theme of:
"Yukon Youth Plan To Take Over The World"
...and that we shall do,
January 18-20, 2008!

January is a month full of people making new committments, so make the committment to attend or get involved with the Youth Conference, and get inspired to create positive change in the Yukon, and the WORLD!!!!

Hi all, I`m working on an anti-bullying workshop, and am looking for some online resources, but am having a hard time figuring out where to start.
Any suggestions??
Hugs and High Fives,

If You All the Money Available,...What Would You Do to End Youth Homelessness??
Related to country: Canada

What I find most difficult about making an impact on social life, is the fact that money alters nothing! Money is not a solution, it is a social band-aid. Money does not stop racism! Money does not make one person love another, or care for another`s situtation! So how can we end Youth Homelessness and Poverty (however you define them) in Yukon, Canada, and Worldwide!!!!

I think, it begins with the way I think,..the way You think,.... and not just the way we think,...but how we live!!!!

Yukon Youth Unite for Each Other!!!! Others before Self!!!!
